Partners

The Dutch Polymer Institute is a public-private partnership, a Leading Technology Institute, demanding and offering high quality polymer research.

In 2010, DPI's partners are (amongst others) DPI Value Centre, Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and around forty knowledge institutes and thirty companies worldwide.

Students switch to companies

The contacts with industrial companies that our scientists develop during their studies make it easier for them to switch to an industrial working environment. Over a 10-year period, some 250 students obtained their PhDs with DPI projects at our partner knowledge institutions. Many of our PhD and Post-Doc students were ultimately employed by our - mostly industrial - partners.

Transfer IP to companies
Knowledge transfer constitutes a large part of DPI's added value for our industrial partners. The number of patents generated by our research is increasing and DPI wishes to transfer these to our partners, industrial companies or knowledge institutes after at most 2,5 years.
