DPI Annual Meeting 2009
November 17th, 2009 - November 18th, 2009
On November 17 and 18, 2009 DPI organizes the Annual Meeting. This two days event is normally organized at an industrial partner's location. In view of the financial and economic situation of the chemical sector, DPI decided to organize this coming Annual Meeting on the campus of the Eindhoven Technical University. So this year, we will bring industry to science.
This year's theme will be 'Polymers and the Biosphere'.
The life cycle of polymers does not end when a product is discarded: it ends up somewhere in the biosphere. Therefore DPI wants to consider the challenge of how material cycles in polymers occur can be closed. During the annual meeting we want to discuss polymers and pollutants, natural and biodegradable polymers and biobased polymer chemistry.
On the programme will be international and national speakers with standing from both academia and industry (multinational and SMEs) on subjects closely related to the central theme of the meeting. Also there will be organized a poster session (and poster prize), golden thesis award, invention awards and a conference dinner.
The full program is available on Intranet.
The second day will focus on value for money - on valorisation by interaction between DPI's industrial and academic partners & DPI Value Centre's customers: small and medium enterprises.
