The Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI) has a new industrial partner since January 2010. ExxonMobil is a participant in the Technology Area Polyolefins. Within this area participate 11 industrial partners and 13 knowledge institutes.

Partnership for SMEs

To utilize the innovative capacity of Small and Medium/sized Enterprises (SME) and to facilitate technology transfer, DPI wants to stimulate participation of SME's to its programmes. Two new participation possibilities have been developed: Basic participation and Group participation.
Polymer Innovation Day

The Annual Meeting, held last week at the University of Eindhoven, was a great success. Around 220 members of the DPI community attended the first day of the meeting, the theme of which was "Polymers and the Biosphere". There were several speakers throughout the day, all of whom shared their vision on the theme of this year's meeting.
Golden Thesis Award granted to Casper van Oosten

At this year's Annual Meeting, held in Eindhoven, the Golden Thesis Award was granted to Casper van Oosten. His thesis entitled "Responsive Liquid Crystal Networks" was chosen by the jury as the absolute winner. It was clear that his research and thesis truly captured the jury's attention. The presentation only confirmed this.
