DPI scores a high Citation-Impact factor

30 March 2010

The Dutch Polymer Institute scored a Citation-Impact factor of 2.19 for its scientific publications. The latest report of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science proves this result in Science and Technology Indicators 2010. The score of DPI is more than twice as high as the global average.

The Dutch Observatory of Science and Technology (NOWT) examines the quality of Dutch research every two years. This is an analysis of data from "Web of Science" and other sources in publication output and citation impact of Dutch research institutes,  universities, independent research institutes and some major hospitals. In 2008 DPI scored a Citation Impact factor of 2.08.

Jacques Joosten, Managing Director of DPI is very pleased with the achieved results: "The report shows that it is possible achieve high level scientific results based on application inspired problems. Again it shows we have the right partners in our network. Of course the academic partners have achieved this great result."
