Professor Vincenzo Busico, Scientific Chairman of the DPI Polyolefins technology area and Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Naples, Italy, has been awarded with the Karl Ziegler-Gulio Natta Lecture 2009 by the German Chemical Society.
This Lecture Award has been established since 1993 between the Italian and German Chemical Societies to enhance scientific links and build stronger ties between the chemical communities of the two countries. Prof. Busico will deliver the lecture on August 31, 2009 at a special session of the GDCh Chemistry Forum, which will be held on August 31-September 02, 2009 in Frankfurt a.M., Germany.
Prof. Busico receives this honarary award for his outstanding scientific contributions to the area of catalytic olefin polymerization, the basis of which was laid by the revolutionary discoveries of Ziegler and Natta (recipients of the 1963 Nobel Prize in Chemistry).
