PO course on Structure Processing Properties

PO course on Structure Processing Properties

19 October 2023

At the end of September, DPI organised a unique 5-day course on Structure Processing Properties for university students and industry professionals within its Polyolefins Programme. The hybrid course had 25 attendees from around the globe, 20 of them attended in person at Geleen, the Netherlands. There was a very enthusiastic atmosphere and a lot of networking amongst the participants.

Seven lecturers, all leading professors or experts from industry, shared their insights and experience amongst others on flow properties rheology, mechanical properties, molecular characterisation and a myriad of analytical techniques. On Wednesday afternoon, SABIC and Maastricht University hosted the group at their laboratories in Geleen.

The course is part of a trilogy organised within the Polyolefins Programme, which has been developed over the last 15 years meeting the need for specific polyolefin courses, both from universities and industry. The other courses focus on the fundamental understanding of catalysis and advanced catalyses. DPI intends to organise one of the courses per year and they can only be attended by members of the DPI Polyolefins community.
